Yoga Themed Classes for Summer 2025
Class 1 - Easing into Summer
This class will focus on stretching our muscles and opening our joints. Summertime is a great time to work on flexibility because the warmth of the sun will increase blood circulation and allow greater relaxation of the soft tissue.
Class 2 -Smooth Sailing with Boat Pose (Paripurna Navasana)
This pose helps to strengthen the back and tonifies the intestines. It also helps to lengthen the hamstrings and improve our balance.
Class 3 - Salute to the Summer Sun
Sun salutations are a challenging sequence of poses that help to strengthen the body, improve flexibility, and boost endurance. Let's hope for a sunny day.
Class 4 - Tree Pose (and other balancing poses)
So basic, yet so important. Learning to ground your feet is essential so that the rest of the body can grow upward and expand. Just like a real tree...its strength is dependent on the health of its root system.

Class 5 - Cooling Forward Bends
Did you know that forward bends help to cool and quiet the body. We will be exploring different forward bends that help in achieving just that.
Class 6 - Half Moon Pose
Yet another challenging sequence of poses that help to build strength, improve flexibility, and test your balance.
Class 7 - Candle Light Yoga
This quiet and deeply relaxing class will focus on restorative poses...poses that heal and quiet the spirit. And yes...with real candles.
Class 8 - Yoga Sweet Yoga
As an avid baker, I love to share my creations with my students. This class is a student directed class where you get to choose your favorite pose and I will put them together in a mindful sequence. Afterwards....cake, pie, cookies, something deliciously sweet!
